A collaborative photo series of lost astronauts bizarrely navigating earth emerged organically last week in Calgary, Alberta. An organization called Beakerhead had the suit flown in for a week-long event series, and photographers Neil Zeller and Kelly Hofer capitalized on the opportunity to take some stunning photos.

The series by Neil Zeller featuring a female astronaut was set at the iconic Calgary landmark, the Peace Bridge. The bridge was designed by Santiago Calatrava, an internationally renowned architect. Zeller says his images of the bridge jump-started his career in photography and he continues to experiment with its form, here with a galactic twist that is reminiscent of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
The series by Kelly Hofer was accompanied by a love story of a young astronaut man who grew tired of his wife until she transformed into a robotic cyborg. The images were captured in local art galleries and were inspired by other Calgary landmarks.
